At MarylandTCG, the hobby has always been personal. Our love for trading cards goes back to the Ice Age era of Magic: The Gathering and the first wave of Pokémon in the late 90s. Our founder played competitive Magic for years, traveling from event to event as a teenager and young adult. They have also played Pokémon since Base Set and competed in some of the game’s earliest tournaments. What began with collecting, trading, and hunting down cards has grown into a business built around sharing that same excitement with other fans.

Magic: The Gathering is at the heart of what we do. It is our favorite game, and we play it every day. From building new decks and chasing upgrades to opening packs and talking through the latest set, Magic is more than inventory to us. It is part of our daily life.
